Kim Delaney is the owner and CEO of Connected Speech Therapy, Inc. It was her vision to create a company with a synergistic and supportive environment that values its employees and their personal and professional growth. It is her belief that in doing so, she will be able to reach more families and provide a great resource to her community.
Kim received a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Master of Science in Speech Pathology from California State University, Sacramento. She is licensed by the state of California and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a member of both the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Kim has experience working in school-based and in-home settings and is bilingual in Spanish. She is passionate about finding out what makes her clients tick, educating and empowering parents and caregivers, and working with families to create effective treatment plans. She is trained in Social Thinking techniques developed by Michelle Garcia Winner, Hanen- More Than Words, SCERTS Model, and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
Aside from her work, Kim loves spending time with her family and experiencing all the adventures life has to offer. She stays active doing home remodeling projects, woodworking, traveling, camping, boating, snowboarding, rock climbing and scuba diving.
